What We DoWater Quality Report

The Water Treatment Process

Water treatment is the last step in the treatment process before water is sent back to the community. Raw water is pumped from 12 wells scattered throughout Grant and Wabash counties. The raw water is very high in iron and hardness so we aerate the water to remove the iron and then we soften the water using quick lime to lower the hardness. The water is then chlorinated and passes through a sand filter before being sent out in our distribution system to your faucet.
