Applying for H2O

Completing the H2O Community assistance application does not replace or forfeit any existing payment arrangements. If you have agreed to a regular payment schedule, you must keep that commitment until you’ve heard from us with next steps. Assistance is not guaranteed, and customers may only apply once a year. If you would like to learn more, contact our Communications Specialist at 765.664.2391 ext. 117 or email communications@marionutilities.com.

Application

The H2O Community assistance program is managed by the United Way of Grant County. You can apply for assistance here, or contact the United Way of Grant County directly at 765-662-9811 for help completing your application. Applicants can only receive funding from the H2O Community Fund once each year. If you are have received help from the H2O Community within the last year and still need assistance, please visit Connect Grant County for additional resources.

Other Programs

The Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) is federal funding that comes to IHCDA from two sources; the 2021 Appropriations Bill and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).  You can soon apply for water/wastewater assistance while applying for EAP assistance. When you complete the EAP application, check the box that you want to receive water assistance as well. Indiana’s Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) is a new program that provides funds to assist with your water and wastewater bills.
