Billing Adjustments

Utility billing adjustments will be considered upon submission of a written request and copies of the repair bill by the property owner. An adjustment for a water leak is allowed once during any 12 month period. Adjustments are “not” allowed for the following circumstances:

*stools that are running, sticking or leaking
*spigots that are dripping, running or broken
*water intentionally left running to keep pipes from freezing
*leaks that are the result of any negligence by the owner or tenant
*water heaters in utility closets or in living areas

ADJUSTMENTS THAT ARE ALLOWED:

*underground
*behind walls
*broken pipes in crawl space
*water heaters in unfinished basements only

Customers are still responsible for their water bill whether a leak adjustment is pending or not. Your normal monthly bill must continue to be made pending an adjustment.
