Long Term Control Plan

At a recent meeting of the Marion Utility Service Board held at the Marion Public Library on September 3, 2009, plans were announced for the control of combined sewer overflows (CSO’s) into the Mississinewa River. Mr. Karl Tanner, a project manager with Camp, Dresser and McKee Consulting Engineers in Indianapolis, presented an executive summary of final drafts for the evaluation of control alternatives and the cost-effective alternative selected for implementation. Public comments on the plan are welcomed until September 17, 2009 at which time the utility board will approve at their regularly scheduled meeting submittal of the Long Term Control Plan to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
