Call before you dig

Marion Utilities personnel will locate City water and sewer mains in street right-of-way and easements. Per General Ordinance 32-006 and 36-1998, water and sewer service lines are to be owned and maintained by the property owner therefore Marion Utilities cannot locate these. However in some instances the Marion Utilities Engineering Department may have information on file that could help property owners locate their own service line.
